L’any 2011 no és pas només l’Any Internacional de la Química, i certament per al nostre grup ésmolt rellevant i ens serveix com a catalitzador d’activitats de tota mena. Ara bé, d’anys internacionals n’hi ha al menys tres més, aprovats per l’ONU, i crec que paga la pena esmentar-los.

The International Year of Chemistry 2011 (IYC 2011) is a worldwide celebration of the achievements of chemistry and its contributions to the well-being of humankind. Under the unifying theme “Chemistry—our life, our future,” IYC 2011 will offer a range of interactive, entertaining, and educational activities for all ages
The United Nations General Assembly declared 2011 as the International Year of Forests to raise awareness on sustainable management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests.
The Year was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly through its resolution 64/134, which calls upon Governments, the United Nations system, and civil society to recognize the contributions that youth make to society and to address the challenges they face. The Year provides an important opportunity to increase commitment to youth, promote youth participation and enhance inter-cultural dialogue and understanding among youth.
Any Internacional de les Persones d’Origen Africà
The Year aims at strengthening national actions and regional and international cooperation for the benefit of people of African descent in relation to their full enjoyment of economic, cultural, social, civil and political rights, their participation and integration in all political, economic, social and cultural aspects of society, and the promotion of a greater knowledge of and respect for their diverse heritage and culture.
